Q.
Why should we use a Reunion Management Company like FMS Events & Reunions?
A.
There are four questions that every committee should ask themselves when looking at planning their high school reunion:
1.Do we have the time?
2.Do we have the resources? (people & financial)
3.Do we want to take the financial risk?
4.Do we want to take the liability risk?
If you answer "no" to any of these questions then you'll want to hire a professional Reunion Management Company who specializes in planning high school class reunions. We are experts in our field. We have the time and expertise to devote to all the details involved in planning a successful reunion.
Q. Why is FMS Events & Reunions the best choice for your reunion planning committee?
A.
Hiring FMS Events & Reunions to plan your high school reunion takes the hassle out of planning a reunion, giving the class committee time to relax and enjoy the event. At FMS Events & Reunions, our planners know how to find high school classmates, which is the most difficult task of planning a high school reunion. FMS Events & Reunions provides one place of contact for consistent and up-to-date information.
FMS Events & Reunions has a long standing relationship with many hotels, venues, caterers, DJs, and more. Most of all, the committee still maintains the decision making power while working with our professional planners. There are no upfront costs to the committee for using our reunion planning services, although there may be a deposit. FMS Events & Reunions incorporates a fee into the overall ticket price.
The services provided by FMS Events & Reunions includes: locating high school alumni, paying all up-front costs, organizing events, preparing and mailing announcements and invites, website hosting, web page design with secure on-line registration, toll-free telephone number, email, fax, credit card processing, deposits, bill paying, music and photography, Biography and Memory Books, contacting local media, the school, and alumni association, staffing and more!
Q. How is the ticket price determined?
A.
The ticket price is based on class size, facility venue, menu selection, etc. Keep in mind that the price you pay for your reunion covers more than just the food. There are many other costs involved in planning a reunion. Such as, printing, postage, alumni search, decorations, entertainment, database management, website management, director/biography book production, name tags, and reunion night staffing just to name a few. The good part is, everyone who attends the reunion, shares in the cost of the event!
Q. Why is my name missing from our class list?
A.
FMS Events & Reunions compiles your reunion database from the resources provided by your reunion committee. Typically, the information received is a yearbook, graduation commencement program, previous reunion directories, and possibly an alumni address listing from your high school. If your name does not appear on the list, simply contact us, and we will add your name and mailing information to the database. Its that easy! Graduation from high school is not a pre-requisite for attending your reunion. All alumni that would consider themselves a part of the class are encouraged to attend. Some committees like to invite the year before their class, and the year behind their class. The more, the merrier!
Q. Who chooses where the reunion will be held?
A.
The Reunion Committee or representative from your class will make that decision. FMS Events & Reunions assists them in making the decision, by identifying a variety of locations to consider, and the associated pricing.
Q. Can I bring a guest?
A.
Yes, we encourage you to bring your significant other, a friend or anyone you would like to accompany you and have fun.
Q. I'm a teacher, can I attend the reunion?
A.
Teachers are always welcome! It adds excitement to the alumni class when they find out that their teacher is going to attend the class reunion. It is advised to make sure you let the reunion committee or FMS Events & Reunions know that you would like to attend, as there may be a nominal dinner charge.
Q. What is the deadline for registering to attend my reunion?
A.
Each reunion may be set up differently. It's important to review your invitation, or web-page for accurate information. Sometimes an early-bird special is run for a period of time, after which the ticket price will increase. If an early-bird special is offered, that is the time to jump on board and save! save! save! We do understand that circumstances may prevent you from sending your payment by the deadline. Not a problem, we accept phone, mail, and online orders up to midnight the Wednesday before your reunion.
Q. Can I pay with a credit card?
A.
Yes! For your convenience, we accept both Visa and Mastercard. You can use your credit card with all mail, phone, or online orders.
Q. Will I receive tickets in the mail?
A.
No, we do not mail tickets. In order to help keep the cost down, tickets are not mailed. Your cancelled check, credit card statement or online email confirmation will serve as your receipt. Your name will appear on a master guest list at the door.
Q. Can I pay at the door to attend the reunion?
A.
We highly recommend making a reservation prior to the night of the reunion. We can accept a limited number of dinner registrations at the door; however, nobody will be turned away (unless maximum occupancy levels have been reached). We accept cash only payments at the door on the night of the reunion. We also have an After Dinner option (see payment information).
Q. How can I find out who is going to attend the reunion?
A.
The best way to determine if any one person is attending the reunion, is to contact one of your committee members, as they are updated regularly on the reunion attendees.
Q. What should I wear?
A.
The most important thing to remember is to wear something that you feel comfortable in. A good rule of thumb to follow is to dress like you would if you were attending an afternoon or evening wedding. Private Country Clubs will often have a stricter dress code that will be noted separately in your invitation.
Q. What do I do if I need additional information?
A.
Contact FMS Events & Reunions, we will be more than happy to answer any additional questions you may have.
